Feel That? It’s Love.
Slightly breathless…
Can’t stop thinking about the last time we met…
Compulsively checking email…
Did they mention me on Instagram…?
You know Spring has sprung when you fall under the spell of a crush.
And Peace Flag House has a crush. A really big one. In fact, Peace Flag House is in love…with the Upper Canada Fibreshed.
The Upper Canada Fibreshed
Ranging roughly 250 miles around Toronto, Upper Canada Fibreshed is Southern Ontario’s local chapter of Rebecca Burgess’ Fibreshed movement. Founded by Becky Porlier and Jennifer Osborne in 2013, these fabulous women have been working to bring producers, artisans and designers together in support of local, ethical fibre production and economic development. They organize workshops, do speaking events and are currently developing an online Fibreshed shop. With more projects in the wings (flax production anyone?), the Upper Canada Fibreshed is worth keeping your eye on.
A Match Made in Heaven
As a lover of local fibre and ethical fashion I am so thrilled to connect Peace Flag House with the Upper Canada Fibreshed. This truly is a wonderful pairing. We will be working together to spread awareness (need a speaker? Drop me a line), build community and really dig into re-developing the local fibre economy in Ontario.
I’m so excited. And totally in love.
