Fashion for Social Action at the Aga Khan Museum

aga khan fashion for social action zendagi peace flag house

So proud of our darling client Farrukh Lalani, founder of zendagi! She's speaking at the Aga Khan Museum on Wednesday, November 28th on the Fashion For Social Action panel.

This event brings together some of Toronto's most innovation social entrepreneurs from Kotn, Alice and Whittles and Pedram Karimi to talk about fashion for good.

But I'm particularly excited because zendagi's Peace Collection of fine jewellery will be unveiled at the event. Beautiful jewellery from the ancient hills of Pakistan being featured in the beautiful Aga Khan Museum which highlights the ancient history of the Muslim world. The synergies here...mmmm...they leave me speechless.

Conscious Consumption: Focus on Linen

On Wednesday, November 14, the Textile Museum of Canada will be hosting Patricia Bishop, the founder of TapRoot Fibre Lab in Nova Scotia. Patricia will be giving a lecture in conversation with artist Amanda Rataj; linen from TapRoot Fibre Lab was used in Amanda’s project Two Sides of the Same Coin, which is featured in our current exhibition Crosscurrents: Canada in the Making.

This program continues our focus on themes related to conscious consumption, while providing new perspectives into contemporary textile practices that are featured in our current exhibitions. We hope you can join us for this lecture; please share the attached flyer with those you think may be interested.
